A native of Mumbai, Simran, born Rishibala Naval, has been a major presence in Indian cinema for over a decade now.  Simran is among the most talented dancer-actresses in India, capable of Bharatanatyam and salsa and countless other styles from all over the world.  She is also a talented linguist, speaking Punjabi, Telegu, Hindi, French and English. 
    Simran began her acting career in Malalayam film alongside the star Mammootty.  She followed this success in the Tamil film industry, where she featured in films such as Vaali, for which she won received great acclaim, including a National Award, a Filmfare Award, and a award from the government of Tamil Nadu.  She has also seen great success in the Telegu industry, acting alongside most of the major stars of the region.
    Simran is one of South India's most beautiful and talented actresses, able to portray convincingly a variety of wildly different characters.  She is highly regarded for her dancing skills and is also reputed to be a genuinely nice and caring person.
